EZ Drip was invented for patients with intravenous infusion to move around easily without using a drip stand and at the same able to maintain the drop factor. There are many benefits can be derived from EZ drip in terms of human aspects, safety, equipment and methods. The benefit on the human aspect is that EZ Drip enables the patient to perform daily activities easier. Whereas, in terms of safety, EZ Drip can reduce the risk of infection and bleeding (backflow). From the aspect of hardware, the EZ Drip is user-friendly because it is lightweight hence enable the patients to move around easily without disrupting the treatment of intravenous infusion.

Initially EZ drip was invented for the convenience of patients in the ward. However, its use has been extended to the Community Health Services; Pre-Hospital Care, whereby medical personnel can use the EZ drip during setting IV infusion at the scene of an accident or transferring patients from district hospitals to referral hospitals for further management.

Effects if the problem not solve :

1. Hypervolumic / Overload fluids inside the body cause the heart to work harder to pump fluids over all parts of the body which leads to hypertension then leads to congestive cardiac failure or worst, death.
2. Hypovolumic / Less fluids inside the body cause dehydration which cause less blood supply to vital organ that can lead to less oxygen inside the blood which cause organ failure which can lead to death.
3. Paramedics find it difficult to perform on the site CPR during Pre Hospital Care because of there is no specific tools that can keep the IV Drip running continuously.

The results of your contributions from the donation will be used to register the EZ drip under the Intellectual Property Corporation of Malaysia to protect copyright so the group will be to ensure that these products enter the market next medical Malaysia and globally for use by the community.

We started this project since college at sandakan nursing college. Now that we have trained out from the college, we must find an alternative way to find the fund to make sure that our product to be marketed for community use.
